How To Connect My Ps3 To My Motorola Sb5100 Surfboard Cable Moderm?

I been trying to connect my PS3 to my Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable Moderm for some internet but i just cant.i really need help. The Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable Moderm looks like this—-> http://mosaic.cnfolio.com/uploads/M528Coursework2008A101/motorola_sb5100.gif
I have everything connected from the USB to the Ethernet. When i take out the USB from the computer the internet stops working but i cant connect the USB to the PS3.
