I had my phone (nokia 6103) for 4 years and now the battery had gone “fatter” as it was normally slim before. I tried putting the battery into the phone but it didn’t fit properly because of it’s little “fatness”. My phone is alright and the battery life is currently average.
Is there any danger or trouble?
Should i replace the battery?

Time for a new battery.
It’s probably gotten permanently bigger due to thermal expansion. When objects are exposed to heat they tend to expand, metals especially. Normally objects do not stay at warm temperatures constantly, thus they do not stay expanded permanently. Since it is a battery its probably been conducting electricity for long periods of time causing a high temperature, thus it has expanded. I don’t think theres anything wrong with using a large battery, as long as its working and you haven’t noticed anything strange other than the size increase, it should be safe to use.
Growing Fat means battery is degrading. Although there’s no risk of blasting but the battery might leak. I’ll suggest you get a new Original battery, Nokia has already lowered their battery prices. Get one now… Duplicate ones are available at 25% cost of the Genuine one but hardly satisfies you… Besides, there’s a chance of blast off or leakage… Go get Genuine…

Hmm this problem usually happens when the battery is over heated or over charged for example u might have put your battery in charge even when it was FULL that’s why it has gone fatter by the way there is not danger to your cellphone except may be it will damage the phone casing and press the battery pins . because it has gone bigger…
better option is to change the battery and use a new one..
