hi! im having a hard time choosing between the two, a lot of reviews say about 5530 has lot of problems especially when updating your firmware, 5800 has some problems too but not that much like the 5530 had, and, upon testing a sample 5530 and 5800 in a cellphone store, i noticed that the 5530 touchscreen is much more responsive than the 5800, is this true or just a firmware problem in 5800? the 5800 test sample i used was using a v40 firmware while 5530 was v30, i don’t care if it has 3G or GPS or not, so both phones will be fine for me, im only asking which is more stable in terms of its firmware? so im asking you guys to help me decide to choose between the two. thanks!
sorry for my bad english.

I was just able to change my product code with JAF for my Nokia 5530 and upgraded it to v31. Previously it was stuck with v20, so it is possible to upgrade it, but you need to google for it quite a while.
The latest software on both phones seems to be complete and stable, but sometimes I miss faster 3G speeds and GPS when on the road. Though Google Maps with network based positioning work quite well.
When I had to choose, I chose Nokia 5530 and I’m happy about it, but now I’d buy either Nokia 5230 or HTC Wildfire.
In short, Nokia 5800. 5530 is cut down version of 5800.
